“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.“Elkhart Tolle
There is so much to be grateful for this year. I initially was going to wait to post this during my blogmas, but I figured to share this still. Giving gratitude is very important, but often, we forget to. I haven’t had one of the best years, but regardless, there are things that need to be appreciated. So, these are 5 things I’m grateful for this year.
5 things I’m grateful for this year
1. Good Health
If you’re a regular on this blog, you know might know that my health has not been top notch this year. In June, I developed a cyst on my neck that refused to leave regardless of the amounts of medication I was fed. In mid July, finally had surgery and they were able to remove it. Being alive now is a blessing.
I am also grateful that I’m still alive and healthy and have not contacted the rona. Cause coronavirus has been a master under our beds the whole year.
My family is very important to me. And these are not just my blood relatives, but friends that have turned to family. I am grateful for them all. For being by my side and helping me through my pain. I am grateful for their good health and life.
This has been such a dry year. Not many doors have opened and the most part is Covid-19. But regardless, there have been people who have given me different opportunities to help me grow my craft. I’ve had the opportunity to be in a lot of spaces with creatives. And that vibe is one I wouldn’t change for anything.
I couldn’t be more grateful for the love I’ve gotten from my readers this year. It honestly felt like one of the most beautiful relationships I’ve ever been in. You all have supported me through and through. And to all those that bought my poetry collection, I send love, hugs and kisses your way.
5. All Mistakes Made
I know it is weird. But each time I notice growth in myself, I thank heavens for the mistakes I made. Mistakes are lessons, we learn what to change in ourselves or how to do them better. So each time I get sentimental, I am happy I made the mistakes. Each mistake I have done along the way has helped me get to where I am now.
Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.– Henri Frederic Amiel
It is always important to show how grateful you are. Show it to your friends and family, colleagues or whoever. It shows that you are aware of the impact they have in your life. But most importantly, be grateful of yourself, your health and ability to see a new day.
Life is not always kind to us, but a positive mind brings positive results.
What are you grateful for today?
