Never leave that till tomorrow which can be done today

— Benjamin Franklin

I love to read this quote over and over when I am procrastinating. Procrastination is one of the biggest problems that I have and fail miserably to let go. So each time I try to convince myself to work on something later, I look at this quote. It kind of gives me a personal embarrassment.

The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.

I don’t remember where I saw this quote. But it gives me the drive I need. The drive I have for this blog is greatly attributed to this quote. And each time I achieve a milestone, I swear it feels sweet. I have the feeling that my hard work and sweat have earned it.

Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.

Denis Waitley

I have definitely gone through a time when my happiness was dependent on material stuff. Even my happiness in relationships was more dependent on them. I had no way of finding happiness in the small things and wins. But as I grew and learned more about life, I had to learn ways of being happy other than material things. I get so happy based on the most stupid things. you learn to love yourself and those around you and are grateful for life and seeing a new day.

It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies but even more to stand up to your friends.

J.K. Rowling

I am not the most confrontational person. In fact, most times I love staying in my bubble. You know, one of those with unicorns and all. This quote particularly I like cause it gives you strength. It is easy for a person to be biased towards their friends. Often will let them run you over with bullshit. When you finally get that courage to call them out, you get a sense of relief.

Goest and fucketh thyself

Your Tango

I am only human. Or like we say it in Chichewa, “Inenso ndi munthu, ndili ndi zofooka zanga.” Trust me when I say I say this alotttt. Mostly, will whisper it when I can’t take the bullshit anymore.
